Fact: The No Confidence motion against the PM has been filed by the Opposition

Claim: The No Confidence motion has been tabled at the Parliament by the Opposition awaiting the decision of the Speaker of the National Assembly to convene a session.

On 11 March 2022 several Twitter users participated in the Twitter trend “#NoConfidence”. Largely these tweets pointed towards the idea that the no confidence motion has been tabled by the Opposition. This is true. Contrary to popular belief, the no confidence motion has been filed and the 14 day time period for the Speaker’s notice has begun.
